Warrant for arrest 2 years after DUI in Los Angeles, CA

Question: I was stopped for a DUI in Woodland Hills in 2010. I was just informed by a police officer there is a warrant out for my arrest on 4/2012. Can I still get charged with dui 2 years later?
Answer: It is possible that a DUI case was filed within the statute of limitations and for whatever reason you were unaware of it. For example, the officer who performed the DUI investigation may have issued you a citation, but never brought you to the police station. Or, it is possible that a notification of DUI charges filed was mailed to you (or whatever address the officer or DMV had for you). Whatever the case is, you should hire a DUI defense attorney to handle this issue for you. There are a lot of possible defenses, including the possibility that the charges were not timely filed against you. Call me at 818-336-1384 to discuss.
