Question: I got terminated from DUI class and now have a warrant out. How likely that I will serve jail time? I recently got terminated from my DUI class because of too many absences. I now have a warrant out. I need to get reinstated and have already done so twice. I live in orange county and the warrant is in San Diego. I have stayed out of trouble since then and I’m currently sober. I just want to get this over with and it has been difficult because I have not had the money to pay the class fees and have not had the transportation to get to classesAnswer: First, I would recommend that you retain a DUI attorney to handle this matter for you. Your attorney may be able to get the warrant recalled and the alcohol course reinstated without you attending court. If not, at least the attorney will have an idea on how the Judge will react to the issue of you continually getting kicked out of the DUI class for absences. How long is the class that you are ordered to attend, and how far along are you in the class? If you only attended a couple of classes, you may want your attorney to see about getting the alcohol class transferred to a school that is closer to where you live…which will increase the likelihood that you will complete it without further issues. There is more information about DUI’s and potential DUI penalties at 1DUILawyer.com . Question: I was arrested for a DUI in Reseda and was supposed to go to Van Nuys Court a few months back for the DUI misdemeanor. I moved out of state and didn’t go. How do I know if there is a warrant issued?
Answer: It is likely that there was a bench warrant issued if you failed to appear in Van Nuys Court on a DUI misdemeanor (or any other misdemeanor for that matter). You or your attorney can contact the Van Nuys Criminal clerk to verify DUI attorney may be able to recall the warrant without you being in court. Once the warrant is recalled, then a privately retained attorney should be able to handle the misdemeanor DUI matter without needing you to appear in court. How do I find out if there is a warrant for my arrest for DUI
Question: I got pulled over for speeding in van nuys then was arrested for dui. The cop didn’t charge me for the speeding ticket though, only the dui. Is this legit? Can I get the dui dismissed?
Answer: Just because the officer didn’tcharge you with the speeding on the citation is not grounds for dismissal of the dui. There may be other grounds for dismissal of the dui. Call me to discuss further.

Phil Hache helped me navigate a complicated legal situation and guided me to the best possible solution. Having a lawyer was the best thing in the world. Phil took care of everything including getting the
charge completely dismissed. He made my life much easier and it was well worth the money to hire him.”

Phil was a great help to me during a stressful time. He was open, honest, and I could tell he was on the level with me. Other lawyers I consulted with before Phil felt like they were pandering to me and promising the moon or they were outright apathetic. Phil worked on my case, kept me in the loop, and explained every part of the process to put me at ease. Long story short, all charges were dismissed and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with my experience!” Kevin F., Nov. 2010

I was lucky enough to have Philip as my representation when I was going through a difficult time with a DUI. He was quick to return phone calls and always explained thoroughly what was going on and what the next step would be. He patiently answered every question that I had. I truly believe that he got me the best result possible. I enthusiastically endorse him to anyone who need legal help. Terrific Job!” – Glenn S.

“…Phil did a wonderful job regarding my DUI case. I consulted a few friends who unfortunately also had experienced the DUI process. They said it’s not necessary to obtain the services of an attorney. They were wrong! If I had not obtained their services, the case would have never have been dismissed by the DA office. Always employ the services of a professional. It’s truly worth the investment.” – David C.

Phil was my lawyer when he was at a previous law firm, before he started his own. I found Phil to be the only one at the previous law firm who actually cared about my case. He was the only one who returned my calls and I did not feel that he treated me like a “number.” Phil took the time to explain the legalities of my case and he got my DUI down to an exhibition of speed, so I do not have a DUI on my criminal record! I only wish he could have been the lawyer to tend to my DMV hearing because that outcome did not work in my favor. I highly recommend Phil Hache.” -Cynthia I.
Cythia I. (DUI Dismissed, reduced to Non-Alcohol related offense)

“I recently received my 2nd DUI and did not want to serve any jail time as a consequence. Phil understood how jail time would effect my job, schooling, and family, and was very persistent with the D.A.’s office in getting a good offer that did not include jail time.”
Ruben L. (Fontana Court; 2nd Offense DUI)
“Phil handled my case with a lot of attention and fought hard for a very favorable settlement to my case”

“Phil worked hard on my [DUI] case, was straight forward with me when discussing my case, and got an end result that was better than anticipated! Not only did he go out of his way to spend time and meet with me and quickly return my phone calls, he was able to get most of the charges against me dismissed!….. If you are looking for an attorney who will work hard for you, treat you with courtesy and respect, and do so affordably, then Phil is your guy.”
