Getting two convictions expunged

Getting two convictions expunged

Question: Is it possible getting two convictions expunged if they are non-violent?

One conviction in Van Nuys Court, and the other in San Fernando Court.  I am looking for a job and think that these convictions will create some issues.  I had some problems when I was younger but am a different person now and am trying hard to get my life back on track.  Please let me know if you can help me.  Thanks!

Answer: Yes, it is possible to get two non-violent convictions expunged. Most convictions can not be expunged, but there are some exceptions.  For example, if you were convicted of a felony and sentenced to jail, then an expungement may not be a remedy for you, but there are other options.  Also, keep in mind that if you are currently on probation for any offense, or have pending charges, that will stop a petition for dismissal (ie. expungement) from getting granted.  If you are still on probation for a conviction, it is possible to terminate probation early in order to move forward with the expungement process.

As you can see from the above, I can give a better assessment of your situation and which options are available and best for you once I know more about your cases and your criminal history.

Contact me at (818) 336-1384 if you want to discuss this further. I handle dismissal of convictions/expungements for misdemeanor and felony convictions and can assist you in this matter, as well as certificates of rehabilitation and pardons or sealing juvenile records if applicable.

I regularly and successfully handle expungements in San Fernando Court and Van Nuys Court.
