Question: How long do I have to wait for a court date for a DUI in Torrance, CA? I travel a lot for work and don’t want to miss the court date.

Answer: If the charges are filed as misdemeanors, which most DUI’s are, then a privately retained attorney would be able to represent you on your behalf, without your presence. There is an exception if the Judge specifically orders you to appear at a court date, but I think that would be unlikely.
